Harris Teeter TRIPLES 3/24 - $173.76 for $64.56 - 63% savings


ROUND #2 at Harris Teeter this week proved quite profitable. Harris Teeter boneless, skinless chicken breasts are on sale Buy 1/Get 2 FREE! enabling me to purchase 9.5 lbs. of chicken for $1.66/lb. My husband's comment was "looks like there's some grilling in my future." After unpacking my groceries, I separated and individually bagged meal size portions of the chicken adding various marinades. Here's how I made out in Round #2:

As with my first deal, I used various manufacturer's coupons and Internet print coupons from my coupon stash to work these deals. Most of the coupon match ups can be found at Madame Deals and Southern Savers.

All totaled, I spent $64.56 for $173.76 in groceries, cat supplies and household goods. That's a 63% savings over regular retail.

Now the big question is ... will I head back again for more before "triples" end on Tuesday?

Rite Aid Trip - $73 for the cost of sales tax


Today was the day I took the plunge and headed to Rite Aid to "do the coupon deals" for the first time! Last week, I received a $25 Rite Aid gift card for a transferred prescription. After seeing the awesome deals at Rite Aid this week, I enlisted the help of my friend, Renae, of Madame Deals, in putting together my first trip.
